Retro Hits with Nicksy

Sunday, 1pm to 4pm on The Hits Radio

(Sky, Freeview, Virgin Media, National DAB and online)

Hi and thanks for checking out Nicksy.com

If you don't already know....I have moved stations now....so where do you find me?

You can tune into my new breakfast show on Marcher Sound, which is available on 103.4 across the Northwest and North Wales.

You can also get it online at www.marchersound.co.uk.

Notice how I am using my grown up name of Simon Nicks...it takes some getting used to after calling myself Nicksy for the past 10 years!

Have a look at my daily blog to keep up to date with goings on its here.

You can also catch me every SUNDAY from 1-4pm on 'The Hits' which is available on SKY, VIRGIN, FREEVIEW and online at www.thehitsradio.com. The show is called Retro Hits and has some great music!

I just want to say thanks to everyone who has been a part of Early Morning Nicksy on the Big City Network..helping me to get through those long nights!

And also people who have supported Late Night Nicksy in its first run on Key 103 and later on City Talk 105.9 where I have had so much fun.

It is Upsetting to leave City Talk, as I have worked with a great bunch of people who are very talented, but I have to give up the show, as the transmission area overlaps Radio City, so I am a competitor to that station!......Watch out Rossie big boy ;-)

I will be putting a podcast on Nicksy.com and updating it more...so keep coming back.

A word of thanks to all the great callers we have had on the show especially Granny Thelma, Granny Joan, Marti the mad Shayne Ward stalker!

Thank you to Davey Barker for designing the site...and also the wonder-kid Ryan Irwin for looking after the techy stuff on the site. It's sickening how much he knows at such a young age.

Thanks to Charlie Boy for this very bizarre take on life on the show, also Daddy Scott and Tom for helping out.

And of course, the show would not have been possible without my dear friend Joanne Lowe, who leaves tonight to have her baby.

For those who don't know, before City Talk, Joanne was with me at Key 103 when we came up with the Late Night Nicksy show. We had so much fun doing it, despite constant pressures and interference from above...but we got through it all and then the show was reborn on City Talk thanks to the top man here who had faith in our show...Richard Maddock, cheers Mad!

Anyway...check my pages on the other site...and keep in touch.

Have a great Christmas and superb 2009.
